Outside Reading

In chapter five, Haven goes out to dinner every Thursday with her father to catch up with him since they dont live together anymore. This Thursday, he took her to a resturant when all of a sudden Sumner Lee shows up as their waitor. Haven and Sumner get talking and he brings up Ashely. He tells Haven to say hello to her for him and when she does, Ashley doesnt want anything to do with him. Haven can't seem to figure it out.

Outside Reading

In chapter four, Ashleys wedding continued to be the main focus around the house. Lydia, the neighbor has helped Haven's mom get through everything and is now helping get the wedding set up for Ashley. Haven has many flashbacks of Sumner, when Ashley dated him. In this chapter, she remembers how Ashley broke up with him. She Recalls that it was at night, Ashley had been on a date with him and afterwards when he dropped her off She broke up with him on the front porch. Haven heard the whole thing.

In chapter three, Haven woke up to a wedding crisis. Ashley has a wedding crisis almost every week. Carol, Their cousin was the source of most of these problems. She is always saying she can't come to the wedding anymore then she will call and say she can about two days later. Haven has a job at Little Feet, a kids shoe store at the local mall, called the Lakeview mall. During her break, she went out in the mall and realized there was a fashion show getting ready for a show in about a few weeks.

In chapter two, Haven goes over all of ashley's boyfriends the most recent one, Lewis, who was going to be married to Ashley come august ninteenth. Sumner Lee was Ashley's boyfriend a few years ago and he has been the only one who really mattered to Haven. He wasn't like any of the other boyfriends Ashely has had before. The best time they had was when haven's family and Sumner and Ashley went on a vacation to Virginia Beach.

Over break, i read a book called That Summer by Sarah Dessen. In Chapter one, there is a fifteen year old girl named Haven. Her parents got divorced and her mom is having trouble getting over it. Her dad got remarried and she couldnt help remembering her sister, Ashley's old boyfriends. Her sisters new boyfriend is Lewis and Haven doesnt like lewis very much. she thinks he is really boring. Haven is really tall and she can't help but feel out of place.

I started reading a book called An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. i have read up to chapter 3. So far in the book, Colin Singleton only dates girls named Katherine. He has gotten dumped every time. He has dated a total of 19 Katherines. He wont date anyone that spells Katherine any other way or goes by a nickname of Katherine. His friend, Hassan, realizes Colin got dumped again and decides they have to go on a roadtrip to get Colin over this.

I read a short story on a girl who was fourteen and she babysat this little boy. He was a fun kid to babysit, they made cookies, watched movies had popcorn, pillow fights and payed Nintendo. His role model was superman. He loved to play baseball, and sing in the choir but one day he had to give them up because his muscles had a problem. Treatments failed and he ended up dying. She misses him and babysitting him. He was a very good boy.
