I read a short story on a girl who was fourteen and she babysat this little boy. He was a fun kid to babysit, they made cookies, watched movies had popcorn, pillow fights and payed Nintendo. His role model was superman. He loved to play baseball, and sing in the choir but one day he had to give them up because his muscles had a problem. Treatments failed and he ended up dying. She misses him and babysitting him. He was a very good boy.

I have recently learned about Cesar Chavez. Cesar was a very outspoken, persuasive and smart leader. This is shown through leading people on the strike. He started NFWA and many people kept joining and joining. He is smart because he can understand human nature. he is a non-violent person. This is shown through him saying violence isn't the answer and going on the non-violent strike. He was very determined and organized too. He was determined to get better wages for farmers and help out many people. He was organized because he thought of new ways to help and keep things in order. Lastly, he was very thankful for all his helpers and their braveness in the strike.

I have recently read a review on Nicelback's new cd, Dark Horse. It got three out of four stars. Their first cd,All the Right Reasons, sold over seven million copies, so Nickelback could hardly be considered to not have a good album this time. The new music is somewhat different than the other music written. One of the new types of music is pop stide on more mainstream tracks.

Lately, in People magazine, there was an article about Barack Obama and what his children's life will be like in the White House. In the White House, there is a pastry shop, swimming pool, bowling alley, movie theater with a popcorrn cart, and a polished wood ramp for sock-sliding contests. The White House staffers will plan slumber parties or scavenger hunts. The ushers will make sure their dogs get walked.

I have recently read an article about Taylor Swift's new album, Fearless. Taylor writes her own songs. This album shows a flare for youthful enthusiasm on fairytale hits, such as Love Story. She also shows folk music in this album. Most of the songs, recount heartbreak.
One of the many songs showing the heartbreak is the song The Way I Love You. In this song, shes talking about being bored with "Mr. Sensible" but she also misses the "screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain" of her past romance.

Photography Heroes
"We try to grab pieces of our lives as they speed past us. Photographs freeze those pieces and help us remember how we were. We don't know these lost people but if you look around, you'll find someone just like them." Said by Gene Mcsweeney, author of Grey Water Photography in 2006.http://www.quotationspage.com/quote/38579.html. This quote shows how photography is really important in being a hero.
The Song Photograph, by Nickelback, is a good song showing how pictures can capture really special moments in people's lives and bring back memories whenever they look at the picture, which makes the photographer a hero for capturing that special moment. These are the lyrics;
Look at this photograph
Everytime I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red
And what the hell is on Joey's head
And this is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we'd ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneaking out
And this is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must have done it half a dozen times
I wonder if It's too late
Should i go back and try to graduate
Life's better now then it was back then
If I was them I wouldn't let me in
Oh oh oh
Oh god I
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
Remember the old arcade
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin' out
They say somebody went and burned it down
We used to listen to the radio
And sing along with every song we know
We said someday we'd find out how it feels
To sing to more than just the steering wheel
Kim's the first girl I kissed
I was so nervous that I nearly missed
She's had a couple of kids since then
I haven't seen her since god knows when
Oh oh oh
Oh god I
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
I miss that town
I miss the faces
You can't erase
You can't replace it
I miss it now
I can't believe it
So hard to stay
Too hard to leave it
If I could I relive those days
I know the one thing that would never change
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for

While studying photography heroes, i learned that there are three catagories of photography heroes. There are people committed to large and small causes, public and personal, and people hoping to make a difference.

Lately, I have read a review of the movie High School Musical 3: Senior Year.It was given 2 1/2 stars out of 4. This High School Musical movie is going big-screen, but the mlusic is not as good as the past few movies. The people that reviewed this movie said theres nothing on the soundtrack that kids will remember ty the time they hit 12th grade. But, they also said that anyone who liked the first 2 soundtracks will probably like this one too. All the same actors and actresses that were in the first 2 movies will be in this one too.

At a London concert on Oct. 12th, Miley told reporters she has fallen in love with twenty guys since shes been there. She called her dad and told him not to expect her home. Apparently, shes not a one- man girl yet.

I have recently read an article about Nicole Ritchie and her boyfriend Joel Madden in People magazine. This article is about Nicole and Joel's new baby girl, named Harlow. They really enjoy having the baby in their family. They say they are so blessed and enjoy every moment spent with Harlow. Harlow is on a schedule everyday. Nicole documents everything Harlow does, Joel really appreciates this so when he comes home, he can look through and see what he has missed. All in all, Nicole and Joel really like being parents and appreciate things alot more since they had Harlow.

What I have been reading lately is a magazine article about the Gosselin family. The Gosselin family is a gamily who has 8 kids. They have one set of twins and a set of sextuplets. Once the television company found out about them, they set up a reality show called Jon and Kate plus 8. This show has been going on since the sextuplets were very young. Now, the twins are 8, and the sextuplets are 4. There are very many ups and downs in having this big of a family; shopping for necessitys adds up really quickly, an up is that they get many free trips to fun places.

Mmm, Cookies!
In the book Mmm, Cookies!, Christopher makes cookies out of clay, and gives them to his mom, and tells her that dad made her a cookie so she eats it, and gets sick. He does the same thing to his dad, so Christophers parents call the school and the teacher has a plan. She makes a cookie out of clay and gives it to christopher, so that he knows its not right to do that to other people. I like this book because the kids i babysit think its really funny and laugh at it. The message the kids i babysit get out of this book is that if you do something bad, people will get you back for it.
My favorite book of all time
My favorite book of all time would be My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. This book kept me very interested and i found it hard to put the book down. This book is about a girl, Anna, who has been through many surgeries and had many different tests done to help her sister, Kate, who has had leukemia since she was very young. Anna is found to be a bone marrow match for Kate, and makes a decision that rips her family apart and might have fatal consequences for Kate. This book tells the story of Anna, who has always been defined in terms of her sister and is trying to become her own person. I would highly recommend reading this book.

Athletic
Having grown up playing outside with my siblings, I am very athletic and into sports. I play volleyball, tennis and I snowboard. Last year, I played volleyball on two different teams. This past summer, I took tennis lessons twice a week every week for the entire summer. In the summer, my friends and I are outside whenever we can because we all love the warm weather. In the winter, I love to go snowboarding with my friends. We usually end up going every weekend unless something comes up and we cant make it. Playing sports and being athletic takes dedication but it is a very fun way to spend your extra time.
